Contains two portions, a text component that describes the various dosage forms available commercially and the pharmaceutical necessities used to manufacture these products. Lab formulae are included so that the students are able to have hands-on practice in compounding extemporaneous preparations such as solutions, suspensions, popsicles, capsules, ointments, creams and suppositories.
